BBC Sprite Designer
for Windows
Introduction
This tool allows you to create animated sprites for the BBC Micro.
This program is still a work in progress so you should use entirely at your own risk. As always I would appreciate any comments, suggestions for improvement or bug reports that anyone may have.

Temporary BBC Master program alternative (whilst you wait!)

I run this program using BeebEM as a BBC Master as I have had memory problems on the BBC B. This was the easiest way to get the thing to work.
Some simple instructions:
Shift-Break to run the program. You will then be asked to set your mode and the width and height of the sprite.
Once in the program you can use the arrow keys to move the cursor about, keys 0-7 for the colours and 'L' and 'S' for load and save.
If my memory serves I think that you can also use 'H' and 'V' for flipping horizontally and vertically.
There is a demo sprite I done on the disk too. Use a mode of 2, width of 8 and height of 16. Then load the file 'SNAPPER'.
This sprite editor I got from one of the books in my collection
