Hey all!

i have written a text adventure for the Electron using The Quill Adventure Writing System that i was hoping could be considered for Freeware download here?

The adventure is set in the Victorian times and although it is reasonably short i feel it is quite description-and- immersion rich and has a few nice puzzles. There aren't so many new adventures coming along for the Electron these days and i haven't found any set in that period, so i thought it might be a nice one to share?

thanks for reading!

Stuart (aerworuld on *.)

PS I wrote the adventure on my Elk so I have imaged an ssd of the disc and its posted up on the *. Forum for now

StuartJ,

Of course! It sounds like a good fit. I'm behind on a few Retro Software tasks (what's new!) but I'll try and get you setup over here as soon as I can!

For now, let's have a link to your *. post here:

Neat!

Had a quick go, enjoyed the Victorian settings/descriptions, think I might have found a little bug though?

After I'd left the police station and made my way to the Inn, I attempted to SHOW the card - but it must have [incorrectly] assumed that I was still at the police station, as I was given the "The Sergeant unlocks the doors and leads you down ..." description?

Best of luck with the game, Stuart! :)

Hi Stu,
A couple of bug reports.
The disk doesn't seem to be bootable, I had to type *OPT 4,3 to make it so.
At kings road:

Quote:
Kings Road.

You stand just before the bridge that crosses the river to the North into the industrial part of town. There is also a road that leads east. The Kings road heads South.

If you go south the next location has exits East and West but not North. If you head East you are taken back to the above location, as if you had gone North.
Simon

OK,

This is now available as an RS download, and has its own forum:

http://www.retrosoftware.co.uk/missingvictorian

Feel free to go in and start modifying the page, Stuart. You're welcome to add a development diary, new beta versions etc.

Drop me an email if you have any questions!

Sam.

Looks fine here, Stuart. I've reinstated the Beta #1 link, just because sometimes it can help people troubleshoot issues if they have access to previous releases ...

But looks great!

Sam.

thank you Sam! I agree about the earlier beta. I think we are well on the way to a final version so I'm a happy bunny :)

i have to say that i feel so proud to have been able to contribute, even in such a tiny way, to the world of the Electron; the little machine means so much to me on so many levels!

thank you for giving me a chance to do this :D

Stuart
