Hi there,

Since Apple are dropping support for PowerPC based Macs in their latest version of the OS I was wondering if it was worth my while releasing the Mac PowerPC version of Image2BBC.

Is there anyone waiting for a PowerPC version of Image2BBC for the Mac or shall I just release an Intel version?

Kind regards,

Francis

Seeing as I have a PowerPC Mac here, 5260/120 with ethernet actually, I'm sure I can find a use for it.

Apple discontinue anything if they can sell you a new one. Planned obsolence and all that.

That's quite an old machine. As long as it is running at least MacOS X 10.2 (Jaguar) then it should work.

I was originally looking at upgrading the OS on my Mac to Lion, but seeing as how Apple have dropped backwards compatibiliy with PowerPC it would pretty much scupper any plans I had developing for PowerPC. Looks like I'm sticking with Snow Leopard for now. ;)

Kind regards,

Francis

Just to say that my development software no longer supports PowerPC based Macs, so a version for this platform is not going to happen.

Sorry about that. :(

Kind regards,

Francis
