I was just wondering which version of Image2BBC to prioritise after the Windows version is released. GNU/Linux or MacOS?

Kind regards,

Francis

I'll vote for GNU/Linux when the poll is fixed - it won't let me vote at the moment!

I've never tried a GNU/Linux system before so I don't know what the differences are between that and Linux. If it can run programs intended for a Linux distro such as Ubuntu (x86) then it should work, otherwise I'll need to look into it.

Kind regards,

Francis

I just use GNU/Linux as a term for what most people would simply call Linux as the term Linux is rather inexact. Android phones use the Linux kernel but not the GNU operating system, and there are systems that use the GNU operating system but not the Linux kernel.

I use Fedora which, like Ubuntu, is the GNU Operating System running using a Linux kernel. At the moment I run the MS Windows BBC Image Converter binary using the WINE compatibility layer, and it works just fine.

Okay, I've updated the poll to state GNU/Linux instead of just Linux. ;)

Kind regards,

Francis

The polls on this forum are broken - I can't vote.

Yep, the poll system appears to be broken. I tried creating another one, just in case it was something to do with me changing the subject title, but I couldn't vote on that one either. :(

I think people will just need to express their interest in the comments here until the system is fixed.

Kind regards,

Francis
