Hi

I've finally got round to uploading the build I took to Byte Back.

Of course there's a whole load of stuff yet to do on it, but family, as well as other projects and work commitments are all taking a good slice of my time at the moment.

Anyway, wiki updated here.

Only just discovered today there was a playable demo to download ! not sure how I missed it but there you go !!

This looks to be an excellent game, very true in style to the arcade adventures that used to be released on the BBC, look forward to it's full release.

However, I noticed one problem with the game and I'm guessing this is because I was playing it on !6502em on RISC OS and that is that the main character when you move him becomes inivisble and flickers alot and you can hardly see him.

Is this current work in progress as everyone see's it or is just that the !6502em isn't up to the job ?

Thanks Matt! I'm trying to go for an authentic BBC/C64 look and feel to the game!

It certainly does flicker on BeebEm (and on a real BBC), although only in certain places. I will address the optimisation issues when I get a little more gameplay in :)

Doing a good job so far, I hope the sound can be improved too, I did read that there wasn't any plans for in-game music but I hope this can be done by someone, or even a free public domain tune added as it does make a real difference, if memory is tight, maybe be in an enhanced Master version ?

I'm glad that it's not just 6502em being dodgy, as it's not been updated for years, I think what I have now is the finished article. Although I did look at the youtube video and it looked a lot better on there.

Cheers
Matt

See the topic that split-off regarding the prominence of the WIP demos here.

Sam.
