Thought it's about time to post something here! Bomber Blaster has reached a stage where it's worth showing something off.

At the minute a two player mode is working - the two players can move around, blow up bits of level, and each other, at 50 fps.

Graphics are, for the minute, converted from Dynablaster (ST version I think). It's extremely unlikely that they will remain for the finished game. Also, so far I haven't converted many sprites at all, so there are no movement animations, no death frames, and in fact no frames of looking in different directions.

There is a problem with speed though at the moment, as can be seen above - player 2 is almost invisible. Further optimisation will be needed - especially if 4/5 players are to be supported!

That's looking great, looking forward to some more in-game screenshots.

Looking great! 8-)

I'd be interested to see how you actually manage to support upto 5 players!

Kind regards,

Francis.

Hahaha, thinking back to the game of finger-Twister that was Dunjunz with 4 players?

And wow, this was a really pleasant surprise for me as the 'Dynablaster' name was not familiar to me but I surely love the Bomberman games on MAME :D

Slightly shrunken mode 1, with a palette split.

Very nice, the increased Mode 1 resolution really works a treat!
