I've attached the archive for the second pre-release to this message. Details of what changed can be found in the diary. There are also some known issues with it, but it would be interesting to hear what people think of the new movement, and whether the joystick support actually works.

Nice, like it... had a quick game and completed all five levels. Final score about 4800. :)

Very smooth and playable.

Thanks! It's good to hear that you enjoyed it. Did you really play through five levels? ;) That's not me being cheeky - you can finish on level four, but you may have discovered a "secret".

I thought I did, but I may well have lost count :) - most of the time I found a little exit door in the middle of a room, but in one case I found a big door at the top of a screen.

Wall-hugging technique works a treat with this game :)

That's the last exit, yes. Do you think there are too many levels? What about the difficulty of the game - is it too easy?

I think size-wise, the game is just about right. Perhaps it is a little to easy - I never really felt under threat - but I don't know how you'd make it harder without making it arbitrarily annoyingly unfair. (I suppose that's one of the "challenges" in making games :))

I also thought that the game was perhaps a bit too easy, no real danger of losing your strength and the game ending, not sure how it could be made a bit more challenging apart from more monsters ?

As for the size of the game, I think it's fine as it is.

I think I'll make the monsters cause more damage - maybe certain monsters, anyway.
