A nice surprise to find this available as a download today. Is this the full finished version or a work in progress ? just wondered as I thought it was going to be a commercial release rather than a free download. Looks to be a good game, very much building on the first game and enhancing it, will be giving it some proper gaming time soon, and watch out for that big red thing at the bottom of the screen, some sort of worm thing. Good stuff ! cheers Matthew |

Good to see it's as tough as ever About 40% explored, and got a green key, so far. Think I'm going to need to draw a map of this one. This level is pretty frustrating!-

Have managed to cover quite a number of screens so far, have also discovered the green key, and I agree a map is probably needed. I've found out a few things that I won't spoil on here by posting them here, but I was wondering a couple of things Does collected the cups of tea actually do anything ? i thought it might stop the clock or add time but I can't see anything happening, do all the cups need to be collected ? Also I can't see any keyboard controls listed so am I right in saying it's just left right and up down, and Return to jump? HHH2 is a great llittle game, which I am enjoying playing and hope to be able to complete . |

They aren't required (I toyed with collecting them being a requirement, but then decided that was too mean), but they provide a score at the end of the game, should you finish it. I played this when it first appeared and meant to write a comment. I just had another go, getting as far as 48% this time, so thought I should really write something. I'm a fan of exploration games, so I like these classic "arcade adventure" type games, and this one keeps tempting me back for another game every now and then. This isn't meant to be a review, incidentally. One thing I particularly like is the thought that went into deciding when the monkeys should throw spanners, taking into account where the player is likely to enter a room so as to make it possible to enter without dying immediately. The dynamic with the spanners is cleverly used on some screens where the monkeys appear to be walled off, giving you a false sense of security, yet you are still vulnerable - not something you notice until a spanner suddenly comes through the wall! Like a lot of other games in the same genre, it can be a bit unforgiving at times, with a few places where the jumps required are tricky and the penalty quite severe for dying. I think I'll have to try using saved states in BeebEm at some point just to consolidate any progress I make. All in all, another nice addition to the Beeb's repertoire of games, and great fun to play. |

I've started drawing a map of this one. 35 screens mapped so far, and I've found the power lever. Wow, that's quite a lot crammed into the Beeb's 32k, if I haven't even seen half of it yet. Finally got past the horrible screen (see my post above). Nice red herring, there's nothing worthwhile after it, not even a cup of tea |
