If anyone hasn't heard yet, Retro Software will be showing off at
Byte Back 2009, a two day retro gaming event that will be taking place on the weekend of 7-8th March 2009 at Bidds Live Music Club in Stoke-on-Trent.
All profits from the event will be donated to two charities, the RSPCA and The Donna Louise Trust.
We've already been allocated a decent amount of tablespace for Acorn use (we learned from last year's appearance at Fusion!):

Tables.pdfThe main plan is to show off as much of the Retro Software upcoming catalogue as possible, along with all the coolest Acorn-related hardware hacks we can get out hands on, like the RAMmagic upgrade, GoMMC and MMBeeb, the Compact Flash Hard Drive interface and the ARM7TDMI co-pro.
If you have anything obscure, or unique that you've collected or knocked up in the garage, we'd love to see it, so feel free to PM DaveM to get involved. Even if you don't have anything to bring, this is a great opportunity to meet up, chinwag and maybe even grab a curry with the best and worst of the Acorn retro community.
So far, a broad mixture of BBC gamers, 6502-coders and Acorn hardware hackers have already bought tickets and the organisers have also kindly offered to give a quid discount (per adult ticket) to anyone who orders their ticket(s) before the end of January (mention DaveM again) - you'll find full details on the site above.

P..S. In terms of accommodation, a load of us have booked the Weathervane Hotel in Stoke on the Saturday night, which is just 5 mins walk^H^H^H^H^H drive from the venue.
At £40 a night for a double room, this was by far the nearest/cheapest hotel we could find (we've been told it was recently refurbished, has wi-fi, and is quite reasonable bearing in mind the price).
So should anyone wish to book a room, it would probably better to ring them directly on 01782 388799 (mention Dave Moore's name).
They also said they'd do 'Family Rooms' [i.e. 2 double beds] for the same price i.e. £40 instead of the usual price of £50.
I believe some other BBC peeps have also booked into the nearby Holiday Inn Express (where the price for a double room is £60 if paid in advance [non-refundable] or £80 if you pay on the day).
