If were talking about what used to be then I cut my teeth on 'Brief' which I still think is fantastic to this day. I've still got the disks but unfortunately it's 16 bit, doesn't work well with modern monitors, plus finally, I lost the custom config file I had years ago and that really made a huge difference.

@everyone else, yeah, I think this topic pretty much proves that programmers editors are as varied as their users. It's interesting to read the various histories of what ppl have used and how they reached their current tool.

Still catching up on older posts here :oops: .

Attached is the PSPad syntax highlighting file I use for BeebASM. Haven't figured out how to get PSPad to recognise labels formatted as ".label" - it seems to default to the "label:" format :? . Anyways, attached...fwiw...
