For me, I have a simple MMBeeb interface (you can make them yourself for hardly any price). They use SD cards (despite the MM in the name). I simply whack this into my built in reader on my lappy and (using some software) copy my code onto it, slip in the Beeb and away.
However the RetroClinics DataCentre is far better as it's a different beast in a different price range. If I had the choice I would use DataCentre but at the moment I'm a bit cash strapped so I have to stick with MMBeeb. It's a workable solution at not too much hassle.
If you want a solution for a handful of pound coins (perhaps less if you make it yourself) then MMB will do the job. If you've got the cash for a really really good solution that I'm sure you won't regret buying then get DataCentre. Mark who makes and supplies it is such a great bloke for customer service too, you can't fault him. If I had the cash I'd have one
