Hello

Here are some shots of my little project "Mountain Panic". These are taken from the build I took to Retro Fusion 08. It is very much a work in progress with lots left to do but these will give you some idea:

Crikey Dave, you've been busy recently!

Looks really great and original, and beautifully presented! Can't believe you even designed a new font :)

Hope it went down well at the show... and look forward to seeing a video soon :D

Cheers for the feedback Rich. It was generally positive comments that I got about the game.

A video soon? As The Smiths sang, how soon is now

Saw the blurp demo at the show too, lovely scrolling - if you'll pardon the pun, do you know what direction you're going with the game?

Generally positive comments?! I don't think DaveM's jaw has ever dropped quite like that before.

Dave, I was lucky enough to have a play at the show and it is great.

Thanks for that link too :) Soooo good this game, and as I mentioned at the show that rope work is fantastic :)

Cheers for all the comments!

I didn't make a big announcement about working on the game, my "style" if you like is to do a big chunk of work then show it. Retro Fusion seemed like a good place to do just that!

Great to see the other stuff on show too, really good vibe!

Hi

I played it today at Retro Fusion and thought it was great and quite original with a great snowy effect. Looking at the graphics on all these games today has inspired me on the final look of the graphics for The Two Towers.

Keep it up!

James W

I'm quite looking forward to this one. :D

I think that the graphics are great and make good use of Mode 2.

Kind regards,

Francis.

Wahey! Panic now has its own Forum Category and Wiki Page! :D

This little marvel took me completely by surprise on Saturday @ Fusion ... I just can't believe how remarkably slick and polished it is for a first version ... :o

Anyway, I've uploaded Dave's preview video to YouTube, using my "Retro Software" account (which we can hopefully use for all future preview vids).

This is the code that YouTube spat out (which enables you to embed it into webpages etc) so if Samwise happens to spot this post, please can you get it into the Wiki and the forum for me? Ta! :)

Code:
<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CtezHjiq0nY"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CtezHjiq0nY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

DaveF is wanting to fix some of the slight flickering on the current game, so he's asked us to wait on posting a video until he can get a new one out next week.

Sam.

With most of these games I don't know about anybody else but I'm moreinterested in screenshots and details of the game (options, number of screens, features, colours, modes, sound, music etc).
