There's a full page review of our latest commercial title Repton: The Lost Realms, in Jason Kelk's Homebrew section on page 100 of the latest Retro Gamer, Issue 87.

The cover price for this issue is £4.99, as usual for Retro Gamer. It should be in the hands of subscribers already and will be available from the website and out in shops very soon (look for the cover with the photo of a Nintendo 64 console) ...

Sam.

UPDATE: There is also an interview in the Homebrew Heroes section on page 103 with Paras Sidapara, original schoolboy author of the unreleased Repton 4 back in the 80s. That game engine was re-engineered from scratch by Tom Walker, and released as Repton: TLR.

They give it 91%, and the only negative comment is about the difficulty, it being too hard for casual gamers, and I have to say I do agree with this to some extent. When I was playing the test levels I found some of them really hard, and in the third scenario of the released version there are some really difficult levels, that I think unless you are an experienced Repton player you would struggle bigitme to complete the later levels.

So with that in mind I think, if any future add on packs are released, then some less difficult scenarios should be added, to cover all levels of difficulty, you need the really hard ones but also some pick up and play ones too.

There's also an interview with Paras Sidapara in the homebrew section too.

You needn't worry about that; I've already completed a further levelset, LENTO, which should be included in the next release and consists of easier levels; and Dave has promised to make a set for absolute beginners and younger players.

Excellent news about future expansion packs, and good to hear there will be some easier level sets too, make sure that you inform Retro Gamer about it.
