I did take a look at Bazaar but I was a bit concerned about early reports of speed issues. The bzr site has a comparison with Mercurial which says that's not a problem anymore, but then I read elsewhere that their comparison was a bit "disingenuous" (not my words).

Short of running a speed test myself, I went with Hg as I've just heard more about it lately and had it recommended to me.

End of the day, I think most people will find any of the popular Distributed VCSs (git, Mercurial or Bazaar) a step-up from Subversion.

I've been running with Mercurial for a while now and am just in the process of rolling it out at work. I seem to like it the more I use it so far :)

Yep I saw... the bzar one looked better though in (my mate's) opinion. I don't even use Windows at home so it made no odds to me :)

Yep, and they all are very similar at the end of the day!
