I did take a look at
Bazaar but I was a bit concerned about early reports of speed issues. The bzr site has a
comparison with Mercurial which says that's not a problem anymore, but then I
read elsewhere that their comparison was a bit "disingenuous" (not my words).
Short of running a speed test myself, I went with Hg as I've just heard more about it lately and had it recommended to me.
End of the day, I think most people will find any of the popular Distributed VCSs (
git,
Mercurial or
Bazaar) a step-up from
Subversion.
