Hello What is the plans for publishing titles? Do you want both cassette and disk versions made? Also, how much notice do you need if I supply art for the cover? Cheers |

Unless someone writes a game that is really only suited to disc (e.g. something that involves loading/reloading the same files over and over again) then yes, we would like to issue both cassette + disc releases. Of course, Electron ports would be nice too (I think Tom W expressed a willingness to attempt an Electron conversion of Panic at Fusion?) DaveF wrote: Also, how much notice do you need if I supply art for the cover? To generate a full production run? Well, once I've got all the "preparatory work" out the way, I estimate that we'd normally require about a month's notice. And by preparatory work, I mean ... - designed common templates for: * documentation * cassette inlay + labels * floppy disc inlay + labels * cd inlay (I'm thinking that Disc Images/Tape Images could be issued on CD - as opposed to digital download - so even emulator users can get a 'physical' copy of the game, with packaging). Though we might want to bulk each CD up with some other content. - finished off the small/generic 'Retro Software' loader screen (Dave Edwards has been working on this, based on a mockup I created) - sorted out a reliable solution for cassette duplication Seeing as there is likely to be many members of the Retro software team attending the Byte Back event in March, perhaps this would be an ideal opportunity to formally "launch" a game or two? |

Good stuff. Regarding Mountain Panic, I can't promise a finished build but if not I can certainly deliver something more complete, and some art we can use for promotion. No objections to that, but I would like to retain ownership of the work in some shape or form in case I do a sequel or something; I need to look into that. |

And yeah - if you can produce some really hi-res artwork, I can run off some of my trademark banners/posters! DaveF wrote: I would like to retain ownership of the work in some shape or form Oh, of course! |
