Hi there,

I want to really test my teletext importer so I'm looking for some Mode 7 screen dumps, preferably quite complex ones using all of the character codes that are available.

If anyone has any then please send them my way.

Kind regards,

Francis.

For anyone interested, an example of "The Cube of Zoth" mode 7 loading screen imported using BBC Micro Image Converter has been posted in the Wiki diary.

Kind regards,

Francis.

Sorry, I'm being really thick. Are you looking for example .jpgs of teletext that you can convert into BBC Screen dumps, or BBC Screen dumps of teletext that you can try to convert to .jpgs?

I am looking for teletext screen dumps (i.e. a Mode 7 screen that has been saved using *SAVE) so that I can test my teletext to image converter.

Kind regards,

Francis.

Hi Francis.

If you don't find enough Mode 7 screen examples, the attached disc image contains a Teletext page creator/editor with which you could at least create a screen containing all the possible codes. It's not by me incidentally, grabbed it off the net somewhere but seems about the easiest to use that I've found.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for that. I'll need to give it a try when I get a chance.

I did actually do my own test screen manually based on a snapshot of an engineering test page. I don't know if the BBC's SAA5050 caters for all of the functions I could see (if it does I couldn't figure out how).

The test screen I done did show up some of the shortcomings of my converter which I've since fixed.

Kind regards,

Francis.
