As everyone knows we launched our first White Label title at this past weekend's R3PLAY show in Blackpool - Repton: The Lost Realms.
We had a great time, and chatted to a lot of interested fans including lifestyle and counterculture blogger and journalist Leila Johnston, and gaming journalist and presenter Iain Lee - also a long-time Repton fan. Unfortunately, Iain was rather scathing after his initial play-testing in public, but we suspect that was due to his final score and have high hopes his appreciation of the game'll grow on him when he's had a chance to practice. (Edit: To be clear - he was joking!!! He was actually very impressed with all the effort that had gone into it. See our R:TLR-related audio and video recordings from the Press.)
After the dust cleared, I was delighted to be able to paypal our production dept. the proceeds of a complete sell-out of our initial run of Repton: The Lost Realms, as well as all our remaining 5.25" DFS stock of Zap! and The Krystal Connection too.
Getting straight to the inevitable question - how can those of you who weren't able to pick up a copy in person at R3PLAY get hold of the game? Well, we had some unforseeable bad luck behind the scenes in the area of production shortly before the show and so were forced to scale back our initial launch plans, given our last chief of production (DaveM) has also been dedicating the vast majority of his time and efforts towards the entire R3PLAY planning which was no mean feat. We've pressed on with the R:TLR launch but, unfortunately, it does mean it's going to be a little while before we'll be ready to churn out mail orders - we need to get a new system in place for fulfilling orders, before we can start taking monies from ppl.
It's probably worth saying at this point, that this is entirely a volunteer-run enterprise so if anyone wants to get involved with production/internet sales, you'd be more than welcome - simply volunteer your assistance by posting in the Retro Software Volunteer Team forum or emailing us at contact@retrosoftware.co.uk.
We'll announce it here when we're ready to start taking orders.
Sam.

News from our production department: some new materials incl. a load of glossy paper arrived yesterday, so they hope to be able to make a start on the next batch of BBC Micro 5.25" DFS / Master Compact 3.5" ADFS Repton: The Lost Realms discs this week.
Keep checking the Retro Software News forum for further updates ...
Latest update is that unfortunately the next batch of Repton: The Lost Realms is unlikely to arrive before Christmas. Please keep checking back for further updates, we'll get them out as soon as we can!
