To those of you that use Swift I am now finally going to try and get Swift out of Beta. I will not be adding any new features to the 4.2 release but will be fixing all bugs reported to me or that I know about. I am now looking at the bug tracker and entering my own entries on there. I have actually done StuartA's request for spaces to be entered when pressing tab in the next beta release but apart from that it will all be bug fixes. There will obviously be perhaps many further beta's for version 4.2 until I'm confident that all known issues are dealt with. It would be really good to finally get it out of beta, but with so many features I wanted in it proved a little difficult ! So either report any issues in this forum or on the bug tracker for Swift. So far Swift has been very stable with nothing crashing it totally out at all. The nastiest known issue at the moment effects Sprites where sprite data can become corrupted, if you don't use Sprites then it's probably very stable for you already. I'm currently only aware of two bugs but surely there must be more, so speak up if you've any problems. |
