You may have already seen this by now - but if not, remember what I was yabbering on about earlier with the dynamic disassembler? This is that vision to the googleth power (without the disassembly, but I can forgive that): http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 88942b75cc Yes, it's a '64. But please, do yourself a favour and check out the videos. Words can't express the awesomeness of this. I spend my days fixing other people's bugs and I can't even begin to imagine how useful a view onto the process like this would be - single-stepping through code is one thing but watching how it works from above like this ... excuse me but I'm going to have to go and crack one off. I've obviously misunderstood something as it just looks like a glorified memory viewer to me? |

Yes, with significant GLORY. Watching the patterns of memory use gives a real visceral understanding of what's happening in the program. Perhaps that's just me |

Well each to their own.. I did think the hack with Boulderdash was pretty good though, but as far as cracking one off, I'll stick to traditional material |

Totally see where you're, er, coming from sirmorris. 0:57 and 1:28... very creamy. Yes Dave, go back to your "Spheres" of Destiny while I move the computer desk aside and fetch a cloth... |

I'm not a C64 fan, but WOW! that tool looks fantastic! As sirmorris says, a tool like that does give you a deeper and more tactile understanding of what is going on inside of the computer's memory. Kind regards, Francis |
